With the Landshut-Neuöttinger-tectonic structure, a supra-regional fault zone runs across the Altötting permit field, along which the Malm reservoir was relocated from the Landshut-Neuöttinger high to the Wasserburger trough. Seven existing, newly reprocessed 2D seismic lines were purchased for the project. ERDWERK interpreted the data and created a geological model. The data from the surrounding hydrocarbon wells were available for depth expansion. The geological model served as the basis for the development of two conceptual drilling paths for four possible locations.
